Moldova will never be on murderers’ side – Sandu on supporting Ukraine

Maia Sandu stated this in an interview with Moldova 1 TV channel.

"Moldovans have never been on the side of murderers and will never be on the side of murderers. We have condemned Russia's aggression against Ukraine since the first day of the war," the president emphasized.

Maia Sandu added that Russia is trying to destroy the constitutional order in Moldova and interfere in its internal affairs, including by spreading propaganda and disinformation: 

"I know that Russia is trying to interfere in the internal affairs of the Republic of Moldova. We knew about the propaganda and disinformation, we spoke out and tried to defend ourselves. At the moment when we had convincing evidence that some forces in Chisinau were trying to overthrow the government democratically elected by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, we came out and spoke publicly so that our people knew who our friends and who our enemies were."

• Earlier, President Maia Sandu said that she did not see a threat of war in Moldova as long as Ukraine bravely repelled the occupying Russian forces and thus defended Moldova.
