Minsk announces that Poland is preparing to attack Russia and Belarus
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Belarus Valery Gnilozub said that Poland is preparing for offensive actions and building up military forces
This was reported by the Belarusian information agency BelTA.
At a meeting with labor collectives of Bobruysk, Gnilozub said that the militarization of Poland indicates Warsaw's preparations for an offensive war.
"Today, we unequivocally assess that NATO formations deployed in neighboring countries can become the basis for the creation of strike groups against Russia and Belarus as its closest ally. The military infrastructure on the territory of neighboring states is developing at a rapid pace – with the aim of expanding the possibilities for receiving and deploying military formations of the combined NATO forces. Today, the modernization of most airfields in Poland and the Baltic countries has been practically completed, which ensures that up to 200 combat aircraft can be based on them," said Valery Gnilozub, the deputy chief of the General Staff of Belarus for combat management.
The Belarusian major general also noted that in Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, reconstruction of training centers and training grounds is being carried out to ensure the activities of NATO military contingents.
"The militarization of neighboring states, primarily Poland, is proceeding at an alarming pace. This is a political course that clearly indicates Warsaw's preparation for war, and not a defensive one, as the Polish military-political leadership tries to show. It is no coincidence that it plans to increase military spending to a level of at least 3% of GDP and increase the number of the national armed forces to 300,000. As part of the implementation of announced plans to increase the armed forces of Poland, preparations have begun for the formation of not one, but two additional mechanized divisions of the ground forces, while the additional division will be located in the eastern part of the country, along with Bialystok," Gnilozub is confident.
According to Gnilozub, the already created infrastructure ensures the operational transfer and placement of troops from the continental part of the USA in numbers up to a division and squadron of combat aviation.
