Lukashenko regime's fall will make Ukraine a great power - Defense Express expert Kyrychevskyi
The removal of the Belarusian dictator regime would bring Ukraine to the rank of great powers, capable of bringing freedom to other nations
Defense Express expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi shared his opinions on Espreso TV.
"The elimination of the threat from the northern flank could very well speed up the liberation of other lands of the eastern and southern Ukraine. Imagine the prospect that when, on the one hand, Russia again advance from Belarus or the Belarusian army enters the war, and then it turns out that this whole group suffers defeat, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces have the prospect of going further into the territory of Belarus in order to remove the threat of Lukashenko's regime. This, at the very least, would bring Ukraine to the rank of great powers, capable of deciding not only its own destiny, but also bringing freedom to other peoples," he noted.
According to Kyrychevskyi, no one wants Belarus to enter the war, but if it happens, there will be certain advantages.
"Not only is the constant threat that prevents us from creating sufficient forces to liberate the south and the east removed, but we immediately move into the rank of great powers with all the corresponding consequences. We are also not very happy with the preservation of Lukashenko's regime, because he has certain unhealthy ambitions, and it has a sufficiently large missile arsenal. Roughly speaking, the demilitarization of Belarus should still take place. In what way it will happen further circumstances will show," the expert concluded.
The commander of the United Forces of Ukraine's Armed Forces Serhiy Nayev says the purpose of Putin's visit to Belarus is to try to make it enter the war against Ukraine.
