Large number of Russian military personnel are stationed in Nova Kakhovka
Nova Kakhovka Mayor Volodymyr Kovalenko says that the invading Russian forces are significantly increasing their presence in the community
He said this on Espreso TV.
“Nova Kakhovka continues to be a temporarily occupied territory. This status determines everything that happens in the town. Not only is it occupied, it is located on the frontline. I would like to note that Russian troops are not reducing their presence in the locality. A very large number of Russian army personnel are in the town, and even more are on the territory of the community,” Kovalenko said.
The mayor of Nova Kakhovka also said that the occupying troops are building defense fortifications on the banks of the Dnipro River.
“At a distance of 5-10 kilometers from the Dnipro bank, the Russians are deploying a large number of troops. Also, over the past six months, Russians have been constantly working on the construction of defense lines. They are constantly bringing construction materials closer to the Dnipro bank,” he added.
