Kremlin likely not ready to eliminate Lukashenko - Teteruk
Andriy Teteruk, an officer with the Free Ukraine (Vilna Ukraina) military volunteer formation, is convinced that the Kremlin is not ready to neutralize the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Lukashenko.
He shared his opinion with Espreso TV.
"Lukashenko is now in a situation where he will be forced to follow orders and act as the Kremlin needs him to. That's why no one will allow him to get out of Moscow’s influence. And the most important thing is that he admits it. That's why Belarus poses a threat and the situation of the border between Belarus and Ukraine is difficult." - believes Teteruk.
The officer of the Free Ukraine military volunteer formation believes that the Kremlin is not ready to eliminate Lukashenko.
"I do not think that eliminating Lukashenko will play in favor of the Kremlin. Since any leader must build up certain influence on the power bloc of the state. After all, the situation in Belarus itself is unstable. Some 2 years ago, Lukashenko barely held on to power. Therefore, if he is now neutralized, it may so happen that the weapons of the Armed Forces of Belarus and law enforcement agencies be used against the Lukashenko regime itself," he added.
