Kremlin is waiting for West to panic and split – political scientist Morozov
Russia expects panic in the West, using it to escalate the war through the triumph over the collapse of Western countries
Political scientist Oleksandr Morozov shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
According to him, after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, Russia has found various ways to escalate the war against Ukraine. The safest one is to wait for the West to split for economic reasons or because some countries cannot withstand the tension due to Russian aggression.
"The Kremlin is looking forward to this, providing sociology with data suggesting that the population in some Western countries does not support consistent aid to Ukraine. This, along with potential panic initiatives from third countries, constitutes the first element on which the Kremlin is relying. Subsequently, the Kremlin envisages escalating the situation by promoting a narrative of triumph over the perceived collapse or weakening of the West, while emphasizing the rise of an imagined alliance involving Iran, China, and possibly a few other countries..”
