If Belarus is ordered to attack now, it will take 1.5-2 months to gather forces - military observer Denys Popovych
As of now, there is no concentration of either Russian or Belarusian troops in the border regions of Belarus
Military commentator Denys Popovych stated this on the air of Espreso TV Channel.
"If we take the regions of Belarus bordering Ukraine, there is no concentration of either Russian or Belarusian troops there. So, there is no threat either. If they are given the order to attack Ukraine, it will take 1.5-2 months to gather the forces necessary. It is clear that such a possibility remains," he said.
Popovych also told what is happening in Belarus now.
"We saw certain movements such as mobilization measures, training. They study Western anti-tank weapons. They still can be considered as maneuvers of Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenkо, who is very reluctant to enter the war with a land invasion. He would like to avoid this because society and the army are not ready for such movements. If Lukashenko dares to take such actions, there may be serious political consequences," the observer concluded.
