German Defense Ministry has no data on Leopards allegedly destroyed by Russian troops
Germany’s Defense Ministry cannot confirm the information spread by Russia about the alleged destruction of at least 7 Leopard main battle tanks in Ukraine
Spiegel reported the information.
"According to the Ministry of Defense, the federal government has no information about Leopard tanks that could have been destroyed in Ukraine," the outlet reports.
The ministry also could not say whether the destroyed tanks would be replaced by another delivery.
"Russia said that its military destroyed at least seven Western-supplied Leopard tanks during the fighting in Ukraine. Information from the combat zone cannot be independently verified," the media outlet writes.
The Russian propaganda agency TASS reported that the Russian military had destroyed tanks in the South Donetsk direction. It also reported the destruction of 109 armored combat vehicles.
