Full-scale offensive from north may start not earlier than February - Ukrainian Armed Forces officer
The Russian forces need to continue mobilizing and accumulating manpower in order to launch an offensive from the territory of Belarus - this will take time
Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Ihor Lapin said this on Espreso.
"I don't think that the offensive will be before February, if they want a real offensive, not a fake movement. The Russian forces need to continue mobilizing and accumulating manpower. In addition, there are certain difficulties with equipment. Lukashenko does not have such a large supply of equipment," he noted.
According to Lapin, the occupiers can make a provocation at any time in order to delay the efforts of the Armed Forces.
"I don't strongly believe that Lukashenko will want to send his bayonets, on which his power rests, to the meat grinder in Ukraine. This is a factor that can restrain Lukashenko. There is information from his fellow citizens from Belarus that Lukashenko is afraid to give out weapons and make a big mobilization, because these weapons may not be returned against Ukraine. He provided, provides and will continue to provide a field for the Russians," the officer concluded.
