Defender of Ukraine Volodymyr Havrysh is killed in battle
Volodymyr Havrysh, who devoted his life to the creation of a new strong Ukraine and protection of changes in the state, was killed in the battle with the occupying Russian forces, Yurii Butusov writes
He was educated in the US and Germany, spoke foreign languages, as well as had the opportunity to work and live abroad.
But he was a Ukrainian, an active participant of the Revolution of Dignity, and to protect the future he became a soldier in 2014. He sought to change the state, and after his service he joined the team of Mikheil Saakashvili, became the head of the Okny district administration in the Odesa region, and was one of the most brilliant candidates who then went to the competition and headed the district.
He did not hold on to the chair in politics, but sought to make real changes. He had a sharp critical thinking and deeply analyzed everything he did. He wanted honesty in politics, and was always ready to fight for reforms. Volodymyr had a deep understanding of military affairs. Although he was not interested in a military career, he understood that one should be able to defend the country professionally. He had a high level of military intelligence, he could become an officer, he could become an artilleryman. He, the former head of the District State Administration, could be a statesman, a high-level leader. He could have achieved much more.
But when Russia attacked, Volodymyr Havrysh became an infantry sergeant, choosing the most dangerous and responsible job in the war, which he also knew well, and was aware of all the risks. He was initially in the ranks of the 128th Battalion of ground defense, but transferred from there to the 5th Assault Regiment. Volodymyr did not like unnecessary risks, did not seek adventure, he was an experienced warrior, and chose this path because he felt the responsibility to be where the fate of the country was decided. He concentrated his intelligence and strength to join the ranks among the first.
Volodymyr Havrysh was one of those who had to change our country and state. He gave his life for what he believed in and what he lived for. What a colossal sacrifice for each of us…
Thank you Hero…
