Chinese electronics discovered in Russian weapons – Ukraine’s presidential office
More and more components from China are being found in Russian weapons retrieved from the battlefield. Western electronics supplies are blocked by sanctions
This was stated by Vladyslav Vlasiuk, an adviser to the head of the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, Reuters reports.
"In the weapons recovered from the battlefield we continue to find different electronics. The trend is that now there are fewer Western-made components, but more - it's not hard to guess in which country the components are made. Of course, China," he said.
Intelligence gathered by Ukrainian battlefield experts and shared with Reuters says that Chinese-made components were found in the navigation system of Orlan reconnaissance drones, which previously used a Swiss system.
Experts also reported the discovery of Chinese parts in the fire control system of Russian tanks, which previously had components from France.
"We're picking (up) a lot of different stuff, China made," Vlasiuk said.
