China's special envoy Li Hui to visit Ukraine, Russia to discuss ways to end "crisis"
China's Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui will visit Ukraine, Russia, Poland, France, and Germany on May 15. The purpose of the visits is to find ways to end the war
This was reported by the Chinese Foreign Ministry on May 12, according to a local publication.
It is reported that the Chinese special representative will go on working visits to the listed countries to communicate with all parties on a political solution to the "crisis," as Beijing calls Russia's armed attack on Ukraine.
China believes that the visit will facilitate peace talks.
The media recalled that during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on April 26, Chinese leader Xi Jinping said he would send a special representative of the Chinese government for Eurasian affairs to visit Ukraine and other countries.
