China bolsters Russia's military buildup with helicopters, metal supplies, reports confirm
China has been significantly aiding Russian companies, including those under international sanctions, by delivering materials for missile launchers, armored vehicles, and strategic bombers
The Telegraph writes about this.
“Russian firms involved in producing weaponry have received numerous shipments from China, stretching from the outset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine up to the first quarter of this year,” the article states.
Despite declining exports to other nations, China's trade with Russia is predicted to surpass $200 billion this year, marking a fresh record. Notably, many of China's exports to Russia are dual-use items, allowing them to sidestep international sanctions while claiming legitimate trade.
Molfar Global reports that before the conflict, a Chinese company dispatched 1,000 drones to Russia. In a swift response to the war, Hems999 sent two helicopters just four days after it began. An additional four Airbus helicopters were transferred by Tianjin Huarong Aviation since the conflict's commencement.
China also supplied over 50 Russian firms with optical sights, where import values nearly doubled to $2.5 million in the past year. These items were misleadingly labeled as "hunting" equipment.
Furthermore, China channeled turbojet engines and radar missile navigation systems to Russia through India and Costa Rica. Last year, they exported titanium alloy products to Russia, crucial materials for military aircraft and weapon production.
“Chinese enterprises also provided magnesium alloys to Tupolev, the manufacturer of long-range bombers like Tu-95 and Tu-160M. These bombers were used to launch cruise missiles during strikes against Ukraine,” the report notes.
