Budanov comments on possibility of new attack on Ukraine from the territory of Belarus

Kyrylo Budanov, head of The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, told about this in an interview with The New York Times.

Budanov noted that the possibility of such an attack cannot be completely ruled out, but there is currently no data that would confirm the threat.

According to Ukraine’s military intelligence chief, Russian troops in Belarus are not arrayed in assault formations, and mobilized troops from training camps are sent to fight in eastern Ukraine. Also, there are not enough armored vehicles on training grounds to conduct attacks 

However, Russian troops do not stop trying to imitate preparing for an attack. They used the Soviet method: they put soldiers on trains and send them to the border with Ukraine, then return them back to their positions. Budanov calls such maneuvers "carousels."
