Belarusian opposition leader says many people willing to join the foreign regiment of Ukrainian Armed Forces and defend Ukraine
In Belarus, there is a wave of people willing to fight for Ukraine and to join the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment, which operates as part of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces
Alina Kovshyk, a representative of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, told about this in an interview with Glavkom.
"A few days ago, we met with representatives of the Kalinoŭski regiment. The guys told us that after the mobilization began in Belarus, a new wave of people appeared willing to join their regiment to fight on the side of Ukraine. The following conversations are now happening in Belarusian families: "Don't join the Lukashenka army, go to the Kalinoŭski, help Ukraine and fight on the right side." The guys said that they are now expecting a rather large and serious replenishment, Kovshyk said.
She noted that Kastus Kalinoŭski's regiment is one of the largest foreign volunteer units in Ukraine.
"People who feel this need – join Belarusian volunteer associations. They should all be highly praised. In fact, Kastus Kalinoŭski's regiment is one of the largest foreign units in Ukraine. These facts must be emphasized. Not everyone is capable of going to war, but our men who do this are our heroes, we are proud of them. We will always support them and we understand that this is the future of our Belarus," the Belarusian opposition representative summed up.
