American volunteer dies in Ukraine war
Skyler Greggs, a 23-year-old American volunteer, who fought in the Ukraine war as part of the Ukraine’s International Legion, is killed
The Daily Beast reported the news.
Skyler's father and his commander both confirmed the tragic news. The commander said that Skyler was "a very brave, big-hearted man" and that he died "a hero."
The commander refrained from revealing where Skyler died due to operational security.
According to another source in the Ukrainian army, who did not want his identity revealed, Skyler is believed to have died in northeastern Ukraine, when soldiers of the International Legion came under artillery fire in the final week of October.
The International Legion provided no comment regarding Greggs.
Skyler enlisted in the International Legion back in April. He got injured near Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine two months later, in June. Having recovered, he returned to the frontline.
