Xi Jinping calls on Chinese army to prepare for "real combat"

This was reported by "Xinhua" with reference to the statement of the leader of the People's Republic of China and chairman of the Central Military Council, Xi Jinping, at a seminar in Beijing.

It is reported that for now, China's armed forces should focus on preparing for "real combat".

"It is necessary to understand the new situation and requirements, focus on war preparations, have the courage to explore and innovate. The People's Liberation Army of China has a new structure and even a new appearance" because "institutional obstacles, structural contradictions and political issues have been removed,"  Xi Jinping emphasized.

Members of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China were also present at the meeting.

The head of the People's Republic of China also emphasized the need to firmly adhere to the ways of implementing the previously planned goals of the reform.
