US, China expect Russia's foreign policy position to weaken - analyst Tyshkevich
Ihar Tyshkevich, an analyst at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, believes that Russia is returning to rhetoric about a major agreement to divide global spheres of influence
He shared the details with Espreso TV.
"Medvedev's words regarding Russia's security guarantees are just a repetition of such theses at a new stage. On the part of European politicians, there is a certain fatigue from the war. They just want to stop the war on any terms. Against this background, Russia is trying to be a geopolitical player", Tyshkevich noted.
According to him, the situation for the Kremlin has worsened.
"There are the US and China, which expect a weakening of Russia's foreign policy position. In any case, there will be a 'multipolar world', but there is a question: how many poles? If at the end of 2021 they were talking about three or more, then today - two, three, but Russia is not on this list. Signals from the Kremlin are attempts to secure at least a small pole position", Tyshkevich noted.
