US and British Embassies respond to new Russian missile attack
The ambassadors of the United States and Great Britain reacted to Russia's morning missile strike on Ukraine and reiterated that Russia does not want peace
This is stated in the tweet of the US Embassy in Ukraine and British Ambassador Melinda Simmons.
"The Kremlin continues its escalating campaign of missile attacks, cruelly wielding cold & dark against Ukraine. Families are again hunkering down as critical infrastructure and other targets across the country are attacked. Thankful for skill of Ukrainian air defense – Ukraine will prevail!" the US Embassy said.
British Ambassador Simmons noted that the continuation of Russian missile attacks once again shows the lack of real intentions of the Kremlin to negotiate peace.
"Russian missiles launched across Ukraine including Kyiv and Lviv. Civilians injured. Russia rejects Zelenskyy’s peace plan. Russia does not want peace with Ukraine. Russia wants the subjugation of Ukraine," she stressed.
- On the morning of December 29, Russia massively attacked Ukrainian regions. Ukrainian air defense forces were operating in Kyiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Odesa, Lviv regions, as well as in Kyiv. Explosions were also heard in some regions.
