Ukrainian volunteer Stefanchuk describes military's mood on Belarusian border
Ustyna Stefanchuk says that the situation on the Belarusian border is quite tense. Enemy troops are approaching and withdrawing from the border
Ustyna Stefanchuk told about this in the Espreso's War and Volunteers program.
Ustyna Stefanchuk recently visited Ukrainian soldiers who are currently guarding the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. She spoke about the situation and the mood of the defenders.
“The mood of the Ukrainian defenders on the Belarusian border is like that – let them better advance already, so that we don't stand here and wait,” says Ustyna Stefanchuk. “Because waiting day after day for a possible attack is worse than the offensive itself. The soldiers say, we are ready to beat them, we are ready to bite them with our teeth. Everyone is in a fighting mood.”
According to the volunteer, the situation at the border is tense.
“On the Belarusian side, they are trying to exhaust our sericeme,” Ustyna Stefanchuk adds. “They sometimes approach the border, then leave. They gather, and some kind of training takes place. This obviously keeps them in serious tension. And on the other side of the border, small sabotage and intelligence groups are constantly moving. Therefore, Ukrainian border guards are not happy there at all.”
