Ukrainian security service admits involvement in 2022 Crimea bridge attack
For the first time, SBU chief Vasyl Maliuk officially confirmed that the Security Service of Ukraine was behind the October 2022 bombing of the Crimean Bridge
Vasyl Maliuk said this on July 26 during the presentation of a new postage stamp.
"From the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, SBU officers have been targeting the Russian enemy in the hottest spots and doing everything to liberate our land as soon as possible. The damage to the Crimean bridge is one of our achievements. I am convinced that the unique special operations conducted by the SBU will become the subjects for new stamps," said the agency’s head.
He also thanked the SBU officers for their work and wished that the number of their combat missions would be equal to the number of their returns to their places of deployment.

On May 27, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Maliuk, commenting on the October 2022 bombing of the Crimean Bridge, said that the SBU had taken "certain measures" to make it happen.
