Ukrainian Navy: Russian ships do not feel safe near Crimea
Spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk noted that the Russian Navy has recently been trying to stay closer to the north-eastern part of the Black Sea.
He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"The Russians no longer feel comfortable in the Sevastopol Bay because it is the territory of Ukraine. In the Black Sea, the Russian occupiers have two naval bases, in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol and in Novorossiysk," Pletenchuk said.
According to the Navy spokesperson, Russian warships have recently been trying to stay closer to the north-eastern part of the Black Sea.
"Closer to their internationally recognised shores, because Russian ships no longer feel safe near Crimea," Pletenchuk said.
On 3 August, it became known that Ukraine had started negotiations with the United States on security guarantees.
