Ukraine's MFA responds to China's claim that US weapons provided to Ukraine are being smuggled into Europe
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry rejects possibility of illegal exports after China said that the weapons provided to Ukraine were being smuggled to Europe
Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko said that Ukraine's arms control system is reliable and enjoys the trust of its partners.
“We categorically reject insinuations about the alleged smuggling of Western weapons from Ukraine. Our country has a modern and effective system of control over the receipt and use of weapons, which enjoys high confidence of our partners. This system is multi-level and completely excludes any possibility of illegal export of weapons,” the spokesman emphasized.
He also underscored that Russia is investing numerous resources in disinformation to undermine international military assistance to Ukraine.
“We call on the Chinese side to be guided solely by facts and not to be a tool in the hands of Russian propaganda,” the official added.
