UK to transfer howitzers, drones, anti-tank weapons, ammunition to Ukraine
UK Defence Minister Ben Wallace says that the British government will deliver dozens of artillery pieces, hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as 1,600 anti-tank weapons to Ukraine in the coming weeks
This is reported by European Pravda with reference to the statement of the British Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that more than two dozen 155 mm caliber M109 self-propelled guns and 36 105 mm caliber L119 artillery guns will arrive in Ukraine in the near future.
In addition, Wallace added that the British government will provide Kyiv with counter-battery radar systems and more than 50,000 rounds of ammunition for the Soviet-era artillery already in Ukraine.
The UK will also send more than 1,600 anti-tank weapons in the coming weeks, as well as drones, including ammunition for them.
"The scale and range of equipment we are providing demonstrates the strength of our resolve. Together with our international partners, we will ensure that Ukraine has the tools to defend its country against Putin's illegal invasion", Wallace said.
