UK adds 42 people to Russian sanctions list, including regional governors and Yakutia head
The UK has expanded the measures in place against Russian officials

This is reported by the government of Great Britain.
In total, 27 Russian leaders have appeared on the list, including 23 Russian governors.
Among those against whom the UK imposed sanctions are: the governors of the border Bryansk and Kursk regions, as well as the Stavropol region; governors of Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk, Novosibirsk, Leningrad regions; heads of Bashkortostan, Chuvashia, Yakutia, as well as other officials. The Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Konstantin Chuychenko was also placed under British sanctions on July 25.
Sanctions include the freezing of funds and economic resources of the specified persons.
