Truss promises to share more information about Russia's plans
UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, who is running for the post of prime minister, has pledged to make more UK intelligence about Russia's plans public.
The Telegraph writes about it.
"As prime minister, I will go further by doing everything I can – including declassifying more intelligence – to expose the world of Putin's games. My government will strategically use intelligence to expose the Kremlin's attempts to undermine and destabilize freedom-loving democracies. Where lies, she will be exposed, where there is barbarism, we will expose it," she said.
According to her, the situation in Ukraine prompts us to reconsider the approach to security. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has promised that, as prime minister, she will increase defense spending to 3% of GDP by 2030.
"We're going to have tough times next year - especially with the onset of winter - but we can't afford to waver in our resolve. We've already proven Putin wrong with the strength of our resolve and we can do it again with our Ukrainian friends. This is a moment for the free world, to have the courage of their convictions while continuing to support Ukraine," Truss added.
