Three Belarusian battalions unite into Separate Ukrainian Armed Forces Regiment
The Belarusian National Regiment has joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It includes the Belarus volunteer battalions Lytvyn, Volat (from Ukrainian 'Giant') and the Kastus Kalinowski battalion
The newly formed regiment's press service made the announcement on May 21.
"Given the scale of the tasks facing the Belarusian soldiers, we move on to the next stage of creating a national military unit," said Belarusian soldiers.
"Belarusian liberation army is a factor that will influence the historical changes in our country," they added.

The first volunteer military formation of Belarusians who fought for Ukraine in 2014, was the Special Task Force (OTG) 'Belarus.'
After February 24, the number of Belarusians wishing to contribute to the protection of Ukraine, was dramatically increasing. Especially since the attack on Ukraine by Alexander Lukashenko's army was not ruled out.
Belarusian volunteers were accepted to serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They support the Belarusian opposition.
Belarus, in particular, took an active part in the battle for Kyiv. They are currently performing combat missions in the East and South Ukraine.
