Mariupol mayoral advisor Petro Andryushchenko shared the information in Telegram.
"The epidemic is no longer just a threat, but a reality. People of Mariupol record mass fish deaths in the sea nearby. Dolphins, in particular. These occurrences take place in the Azov sea during abnormal heat in July," the mayor said.
According to Petro Andryushchenko, given the season and temperature, the fish deaths may be a sign of a disease in the water.
"The sea is currently one of the few places of hygiene for Mariupol residents, so the threat is no longer just a warning" said the mayor's adviser.
