"The Russians do not have such unity": Ukrainian serviceman assesses possibility of confrontation with Russia in drones
Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Yevhen Ievlev told whether parity with Russians on drones is possible
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"What do the Russians lack, but we have? There is a person who has taken on a specific responsibility to take care of our brigade and deliver drones to us. He comes to the front, looks at the situation, talks to the commanders, advises on what is best and provides the necessary number (of drones - ed.). I can't say the name, although this person is in the top 5 of the Forbes Ukraine list. Russians do not have such a history of unity. I am not sure if they will have parity," he said.
In terms of budget, Russia has it. But we don't know how much they are willing to allocate for FPV drones and how effective they consider them to be, says Ievlev.
"Today, drones allow you to more or less safely burn the enemy in front of you. Reconnaissance drones are about control, combat, and adjustments. Today, there are no other devices that can perform the same function. If we talk about the top 3 needs on the front line for the Armed Forces, drones will definitely be included. The first is destruction, the second is surveillance," he added.
