Targeting Russia’s fuel stocks is part of decreasing its ability to fight - military expert Ryzhenko
Andriy Ryzhenko, an expert at the Center for Defense Strategies, Captain 1st Rank of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Reserve, notes that Russia’s rear fuel stocks are already being destroyed
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Fuel is supplied to Crimea via railways and highways of the Azov region, as well as the Crimean bridge. There is also a sea route, but it is unreliable. The enemy's rear fuel stocks, in areas close to the fighting, are already being destroyed. This is part of the plan aimed at depriving the enemy of the ability to conduct combat operations," noted Ryzhenko.
According to the captain of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reserve, it is problematic to conduct combat operations on the isthmus to the peninsula and in the mountainous areas in southern Crimea.
"From the point of view of geography, Crimea is a difficult region. Both for those on the defensive and those on the offensive. It is difficult for the defenders to maintain supply lines. And for the offensive, the peculiarities of the Crimean terrain and the presence of a narrow isthmus on the Crimean peninsula require non-standard planning and bold decisions regarding attack operations. It is problematic to conduct combat operations both on the isthmus and in the mountainous areas in southern Crimea," Ryzhenko emphasized.
