Soldier and poet Glib Babich killed

This was reported by friends and colleagues of the famous soldier, volunteer and poet.

In particular, political scientist Andriy Smoliy wrote on Facebook: "It just became known. Glib Babich was killed. Poet, songwriter, military man, blogger. Knew Glib. Sometimes we saw each other. Many of you knew Gleb, saw him on the air, subscribed to his pages, know personally... Frankly, one of the saddest news.. Curse the occupiers and terrorists…”.

Volunteer Yuriy Biryukov also responded to the death of his brother:

"I adore your talent and intelligence, ingenuity and grunt, hard work and laziness. I adore your persistence to make me listen to your songs that I don't understand, and listen and recognize the talent...

I adore your boredom, with the help of which you forced me to "prompt" everything to your team.  That's right, because your call sign is "Lazy" - you had to heat me up. You were able to.

I adore your projects, which will now be a memory of you. "Loki"... You so wanted to bring this project to your mind, but you didn't have time.

Just do not think to write: "Heroes do not die", please.  Although... Yes. Heroes do not die. Damn, they get killed.  And now you are killed."

Glib Babich was an activist of the NGO Community Affairs, a military man, a poet, a songwriter, a member of the Anti-Terrorist Operation/Union Forces, until 2019, an ensign of the 10th OGSHBR of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He spent five years of war and six combat rotations. Born in 1969 in Mykolaiv. He wrote his first poems at the age of ten. Glib Babich's poems are based on songs, the music of which was created by both the author himself and professional composers.
