Russia's invasion starts to fail, Putin will no longer be able to seize Ukraine - UK Defence Secretary
UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace believes that Russia's leader Vladimir Putin is unlikely to be able to occupy Ukraine
Wallace stated this at a press conference following the results of the donor conference for Ukraine in Copenhagen.
"They (Russia - Ed.) have so far failed and are unlikely to ever be able to occupy Ukraine at all. Their invasion has stalled and constantly changed in such a way that now they are only focused on parts of the South and East (Ukraine - Ed.) - far from what was foreseen by their so-called "special operation" in three days", the head of the UK Ministry of Defense said.
Ben Wallace said that Russia's invasion of Ukraine has "faltered" and is "starting to fail". He recalled that the full-scale phase of Russia's war against Ukraine has lasted more than 150 days, and Russian forces are suffering significant losses in manpower and equipment.
"Putin believed that by August, in a few months, we would all be tired of the conflict and the international community would drift in different directions. Well, today is proof of the opposite", Wallace added, referring to the donor conference.
