Russian troops commit medical terror to residents of occupied territories in Zaporizhzhia
Mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, reported that residents of occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region were left without medical care.
He said this live on air of Espreso TV channel.
"Large-scale curfew may begin in occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region, because Russian occupying forces are afraid of every inhabitant of temporarily occupied territory. They see that inhabitants are resisting and everyone knows the whereabouts of the Russian military in occupied territories. And this is one of the many elements of terror that Russian troops perpetrate on our land. The main terror is medical terror. People with chronic diseases do not have the opportunity to go to Zaporizhzhia Hospital for treatment and examination," Fedorov noted.
According to the mayor of Melitopol, residents of occupied territories have not been able to leave for Zaporizhzhia for the third week, because Russian forces have completely blocked the crossing of the battle line.
"In order to receive medical care, residents are forced to go to the temporarily occupied Crimea. But there they serve only those who have medical insurance or a passport of the Russian Federation to issue this medical insurance. In all other cases, treatment is too expensive and our residents cannot afford it. Residents of occupied territories were left without medical care," Fedorov added.
