Russian planes use Belarusian skies in war on Ukraine
On the night of July 11, a Russian plane circled over Belarus, helping fighter jets with target acquisition in Ukraine.
The Belarusian Gayun monitoring group shared the news.
"At 22:50 on July 10, a DRLO A-50 aircraft of the Russian Air Force with registration number RF-94268 took off from the military airfield in Machulyshchy. The task of this aircraft is to provide coordinates to fighter pilots for strikes on targets," the message says.
In addition, experts reported that the A-50 flew in circles all night from Baranovichi to Slutsk, changing altitudes from 9,150 meters to 9,700 m. The aircraft finished its work only at 04:39 and landed at the military airfield in Machulyshchy at 05:10. Thus, the net time of work in the air was 6 hours and 20 minutes.
Therefore, throughout the night, fighters flew into the air, working alternately with the A-50 in pairs at altitudes from 7,000 to 8,000 meters.
During the work, the fighter pilots discussed with the anti-aircraft missile defense system the visibility of targets for strikes on the territory of Ukraine. Belarusian Gayun believes that the pair work of fighters with the A-50 to search for targets for attack 'may become a new daily practice.'
