Russian occupiers preparing full-scale mobilization of Ukrainians in Zaporizhzhia region
The Russian invaders are preparing a full-scale mobilization of Ukrainian men to the Russian army in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia a region
The mayor of the southern city of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov informs about this.
"The Russian forces are preparing a full-scale mobilization of Ukrainian men into the Russian army. Already for 2 days at the checkpoint in Vasylivka, the Russians have not let to Zaporizhzhia men who either do not have a military ID or have a military ID confirming their fitness for service," said the mayor.
The invaders dissuade Ukrainian men from going to the territory controlled by Ukraine, alleging they will be “immediately mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine”. The mayor emphasized that in this way they want to preserve the population in the occupied territory for their own further mobilization.
"This is evidenced by the following fact. Two weeks ago, criminal authority Armen Gorlovsky came to Melitopol, and few people could understand why. Now they have already understood that this person from criminality is appointed to "watch" prisons and the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. Now they are doing mobilization, the same as Prigozhin is doing in the Russian Federation," added the mayor.
Fedorov says that in the city temporarily occupied by the Russian invaders, there is still a resistance movement: "The Russian occupiers are mad as they cannot detect Ukrainian partisans in 9 months."
The mayor reminded that there are two alternative evacuation routes - towards Georgia and European countries via Berdyansk-Mariupol-Novoazovsk or via Crimea.
