Russian occupiers in Mariupol increase ‘filtration’ of civilians, search apartments, check phones
Mariupol mayoral adviser Petro Andryushchenko, said that a global sweep was taking place in the city, the invaders suddenly increased the filtration of civilians, searched apartments, and checked phones
He writes about this on Telegram.
According to Andryushchenko, a large-scale sweep occurs in the city's Central, Primorsky and Kalmius districts, mainly in areas where military equipment passes through and the invaders are stationed.
The invaders conduct apartment-by-apartment rounds, search for Ukrainian symbols and literature, check phones for compromising photos and messages in social networks and private correspondence, and write down the personal data of all residents.
The report says that almost 15 thousand residents of Mariupol are waiting for filtration, but only 30 undergo the procedure daily. According to Andryushchenko, up to 5 people disappear daily due to arrests right in the building of the Regional Police Department of the invaders.
"Without a piece of paper on filtration, it is impossible to find any job, so people are forced to go to a humiliating and risky procedure for the sake of survival," he writes.
He also noted that the information of propaganda media about the abolition of fingerprinting when crossing the Russian border is a lie for residents of the occupied territories. Refugees must continue to be fingerprint-checked.
