Russian military leaders already feel hunted by Ukrainian Armed Forces - Serhiy Zgurets
The destruction of the Russian forces' leadership continues, Ukrainian intelligence knows for sure where the Russian command posts are located
Military summaries on what the Ukrainian Defense Minister Reznikov says about the strikes on Crimea, about mobilization and how the Russian army is trying to protect its command structure from destruction, as well as why the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is worried about the location of missile systems on the border from the side of Belarus.
Interesting moments from Reznikov's interview with Voice of America
The Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov in an interview with the Voice of America, disclosed several interesting points: about the rules for using American weapons. The Minister stated that in Ukraine there is no ban on the destruction of military facilities of the Russian Federation in the occupied Crimea by partners. Reznikov also expressed his belief that the US will hand over ATACMS systems with a range of 300 km to Ukraine, and then there will be many more targets on the territory of Crimea that will need to be hit.
About mobilization
According to Reznikov, enough people have already been mobilized to the ranks of the Ukrainian army. The Armed Forces do not need to increase the number of personnel, and only specific specialists are subject to mobilization: UAV operators, air technicians, signalmen, gunners and fighters who can quickly master more complex weapons systems of NATO standards. Also, according to Reznikov, there are currently 135,000 Russian forces operating on the territory of Ukraine, but these are no longer the forces that were at the first stage of the war. However, the aggressor should not be underestimated.
About Russian losses and their efforts to secure command staff
Let me remind you that when it comes to Russian forces, 44,000 aggressors were destroyed in half a year, which is indicated in the report of the General Staff, and to this should be added at least three times as many wounded, but among the enemy losses I will single out the leadership.
According to the Killed in Ukraine project, which establishes the personal data of slain Russian commanders, there are now at least more than 1,000 dead officers and generals: 10 generals, 103 colonels and lieutenant colonels, 135 majors, and more than 700 in the ranks from captain to lieutenant. Of course, the loss of senior officers, and especially junior officers, who directly make war, significantly affects the fighting ability of the enemy's army. The destruction of the Russian leadership continues, more precisely, the elimination of the control system by destroying command posts of various levels. Our intelligence knows with certainty where such command posts are located, using radio intelligence, space intelligence, intelligence network work and visual surveillance. We have increased destruction capabilities due to the use of HIMARS, long-range artillery and aviation. Especially in those areas where enemy air defense is suppressed. It seems that the new reality worries the Russian military leaders, who feel the hunting by the Armed Forces on their skin.
We heard information that the majority of the command of the Russian army left Kherson, also OC South confirmed this trend. Most likely, this means that someone needs to save his life and is very afraid for his prospects.
I spoke with those who know in detail about the Russian tactics to save their commanders and they told me interesting details. It turns out that the scheme is as follows: in order to preserve the command structure of the aggressor's troops, the senior officers of the units operating on our territory were instructed to leave for the night from the territory of the Kherson region to the territory of the Crimea every day. As for the junior and middle-ranking officers of the Russian Federation, they are ordered to be permanently on the territory of the Kherson region, but to be located a little further from the locations of subordinate forces and means in order to be able to escape.
To hold the Kherson region, Russia will surely use the third corps, which was formed for several months in Mulino, Nizhny Novgorod region. General Pavlyuk, the commander of the forces and means of defense of Kyiv, spoke about this corps for the first time. He said that the Russian army is forming a reserve corps numbering 15,000 personnel, and if necessary, new parts of this corps can be mobilized for the offensive on Kyiv. Pavlyuk said this in June, but now it seems that after all it is not Kyiv, but the South. There is already data that allows us to say that the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation has decided to transfer this third corps to the territory of Ukraine. The departure of these forces will take place by rail, we do not know the number. Did you really manage to get 15,000? Much less, I think, but the transfer of these troops suggests that Russia is in critical need of manpower. Our measures to strike Dzhankoy and other cities with Russian logistics hubs are extremely relevant and necessary because the practice of destroying logistics hubs will only be scaled to complicate the Russian actions on the frontline.
About Belarus
The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny expressed concern about the location of missile systems along the state border of Ukraine from the side of Belarus. Zaluzhny reported this in the Telegram channel after a conversation with his Canadian colleague.
