Russian forces recruit drivers from occupied territories to their agent network
In the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, invading Russian forces are expanding their agent network with carriers and taxi drivers to collect data on public sentiment
Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar reported this.
According to her, Russians in the Kherson, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions are forcing local entrepreneurs involved in providing transportation services, including ordinary carriers and taxi drivers, to immediately report on the identification of people with pro-Ukrainian sentiments and any violations of the occupation regime.
“In case of evasion of such obligations, the occupying forces will immediately ban the activities of local transporters,” Maliar wrote and noted that last week a number of local enterprises and individual carriers received warnings about the termination of transportation contracts.
At the same time, Russian companies are entering the transportation market in the temporarily occupied territories.
