100 people at home: Ukraine and Russia exchange POWs
On the evening of February 8, Ukraine returned 100 people from captivity. Most of them are defenders of Mariupol
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this.
" 100 more Ukrainians are at home in Ukraine. The National Guard, border guards, Ukrainian Armed Forces. Most of them are defenders of Mariupol. All of them are ours, all of them are back in their native land. We are working for each and every one of them and will not stop until we return everyone," he wrote.
The President thanked the team involved in the exchanges for the result the country needs.

On Wednesday, January 31, Ukraine returned 207 Ukrainians from Russian captivity, including Armed Forces soldiers, National Guard, border guards and police officers.

On February 1, Lieutenant Colonel Denys Prokopenko (Redis), commander of the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, said that more than 900 Azov fighters remained in Russian captivity.
