Russia-Ukraine peace agreement should not include territorial concessions - UK PM Truss
British Prime Minister Liz Truss said that a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine should not include territorial concessions
The Guardian writes about it.
During the conference in Birmingham, the Prime Minister of Great Britain Liz Truss expressed support for Ukraine.
"The Ukrainian people are fighting not only for their security, but for all our security. This is a fight for freedom and democracy all over the world. Putin's illegal annexation of the territory of Ukraine is only the latest act of his campaign to undermine democracy and violate international law," Truss emphasized.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the Russian Federation's actions regarding the "recognition" of Ukrainian territories as its own are not legal, and the peace agreement should not include territorial concessions.
"We must not give in to those who want to make a deal that trades Ukrainian land. They are offering to pay with Ukrainian lives for the illusion of peace. We will stand with our Ukrainian friends no matter how long it takes. Ukraine can win. Ukraine must win. And Ukraine will win," added the Prime Minister of Great Britain.
