UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace says that the Russian army has lost more than 80,000 soldiers in the war against Ukraine

He said this in an interview with the Evening Standard newspaper.
"We agree that the Russian losses - if you combine the deaths, injuries, and desertions - are more than 80 thousand people from their armed forces. That's 80 thousand in six months compared to 15 thousand people they lost in ten years in Afghanistan", Ben Wallace noted.
The UK Defense Minister added that Russia is currently in a "very fragile position". According to him, the progress of the Russian Federation can be measured "in meters per week, not in miles".
Answering a question about whether Ukraine will be able to return the territories occupied by Russia, Wallace noted that Ukraine is on its way to this.
