Russia lacks proper military leadership and means to hold occupied territories - US Major Spencer
There is a limit beyond which Russian leader Vladimir Putin will stop the war - one can throw a lot of people into the furnace of war, involve weapons, but there is no result
This was stated by retired US Army Major and military expert John Spencer on Espreso TV.
"I believe there is a limit at which Putin may choose to withdraw from Ukraine. Despite the fragility of his regime, he still holds the authority to halt the invasion and withdraw his troops. The number of dead and wounded Russians is impressive. Also, a lot of people do not want to die in Ukraine for Russia, so they are running away to avoid being mobilized,” he said.
“There is a certain narrative - if you force people to fight, there should be results, but there are not. Russia does not have the proper equipment and leadership to continue the fight, to hold the territories they have been capturing for months. This entire situation is reaching its breaking point, it will all come to an end. One can throw a lot of people into the furnace of war, involving weapons, but there is no result," Spencer added.
