Russia, China are nervous about Ukraine's activity in Africa – political strategist Zahorodniy
Ukrainian diplomacy is working to reduce Russian influence in Africa, explaining that Africans are interested in ending the war and should help
Political strategist Taras Zahorodniy said this on Espreso TV.
“Russia is nervous because Ukraine has reached African countries. We hadn't been involved in it before, but it turned out that African countries are very dependent on Ukrainian food. This is a big concern for local leaders. Rising prices and lack of food can lead to the loss of power. Ukraine, using these levers, is hinting to Africans that they are most interested in ending the war as soon as possible, so they should make efforts to do so and help us. Lavrov and other figures are nervous because this is a decrease in Russian influence in Africa. China is also nervous because of the emergence of a new player on the continent, and I'm talking about Ukraine,” he said.
