Putin tries to draw Lukashenko into full-fledged ground operation - intelligence representative Yusov
Andriy Yusov, from Ukraine's Defense Ministry, noted that the various scenarios relating to an invasion of Ukraine from Belarus are being studied, emphasising that Ukraine is ready to respond to any of these scenarios.
He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"There is an official notification from the General Staff of Ukraine, and we can state that, as of now, there are no signs of the formation of offensive groups and the movement of troops on the territory of Belarus. This also applies to additional mobilization measures. That is, we can not say today that Putin managed to involve Lukashenko in a full-fledged war in the form of participation in a ground operation," Yusov noted.
According to him, Putin's task regarding Belarus and Lukashenko is to completely drown Lukashenko in blood.
"If today Belarus only helps Russia in various forms, then Putin has the task of involving Lukashenko in a full-fledged ground operation. We will know about it in advance. Everything is monitored by Ukrainian intelligence and certainly by our allies, and we will react accordingly," added Yusov.
