Preparatory stage for Ukraine’s offensive is already underway - military expert Zgurets
Defense Express CEO Serhiy Zgurets notes that the first stage of an offensive is underway, which involves destroying enemy targets, including with aviation and long-range systems
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"If we take into account the findings and data from NASA satellites, the number of strikes on the enemy has quadrupled over the past two weeks. This is due to the active use of Storm Shadow missiles. According to the Economist, which analyzed these strikes, at least 100 enemy targets are now being hit by our long-range artillery and missile systems per day. This can be considered a systemic sign that the preparatory stage for the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is already underway," the military expert said.
Serhiy Zgurets noted that now is the first stage, which involves destroying enemy targets with long-range systems, including with the use of aviation.
"According to some experts, several of our aircraft are actively using Storm Shadow missiles on a daily basis, destroying the most deeply buried and remote enemy hideouts. This is somewhat reminiscent of the situation when we were supplied with HIMARS last July when these systems destroyed enemy warehouses along the front line and a further 100 kilometers inland. And now, the accumulated enemy stockpiles that have been created during this time are being destroyed by Storm Shadow to a depth of 300 km. If we look at the data for yesterday, May 28, a significant number of strikes on enemy targets were carried out in the Azov region, namely in Mariupol, Melitopol, and Berdiansk. The stage of the offensive operation, which consists of the destruction of enemy reserves, is already underway," summarized Zgurets.
