Part of Belarusian army will carry out Lukashenko's order to attack Ukraine - Chaly
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States 2015-2019 Valeriy Chaly has said that part of the Belarusian armed forces will carry out Lukashenko's order to cross the border with Ukraine.
He expressed his opinion with Espreso.
"You and I know that the Belarusian people are in a very difficult situation. However, the situation is different from Russia. After all, there were attempts to wage a guerrilla war against the Russian military in Belarus, and the Belarusian opposition made statements against the Russian occupation. It is very important for Belarusians now, that the Belarusian opposition has created a government and when the Lukashenka regime is overthrown, there will be a completely legitimate government in Belarus that will deal with the country's development," Chaly explained.
The diplomat also noted that the threat of Belarusian troops invading the territory of Ukraine is quite high.
"I take very seriously the threat of Belarusian troops invading the territory of Ukraine. Part of the Belarusian army will carry out Lukashenko's order to attack Ukraine. The other part is already writing a refusal to participate in the war against Ukraine, which has nothing to do with their interests. It is obvious that the Belarusian military who will cross the border with Ukraine, the fate of the Russians who crossed the Ukrainian border and tried to take Kyiv will await. From the point of view of international law, Belarus is already involved in a war against Ukraine. However, if Lukashenko dares to attack Ukraine, we will be forced to respond," he added.
