One experienced for every five "newbies": Russian will transfer 20,000 mobilized troops to Belarus - Ministry of Defense
Belarus plans to deploy 20,000 mobilized Russian troops
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar announced this in Telegram.
According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, places are being prepared in Belarus for the accommodation of 20,000 people mobilized from the Russian Federation. They are supposed to replenish the units of the Russian Armed Forces stationed in Belarus. As a result of the replenishment, the ratio of "experienced" and "young" military personnel should be 1 to 5.
"For accommodation, it is planned to use existing military funds, as well as civilian premises and buildings. For these needs, warehouses, hangars and other premises of abandoned agricultural enterprises and farms will be transferred. Relevant instructions were given to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and local councils," the message says.
According to Malyar, after increasing the staff, the units will use Russian military equipment from warehouses in Belarus. It is also planned to strengthen it at the expense of equipment and weapons removed from storage on the territory of the Russian Federation. The lack of equipment for transporting personnel of the occupying forces is planned to be replenished by mobilizing civilian trucks and cars.
She added that the authorities of the Republic of Belarus also instructed law enforcement agencies to assist representatives of the Russian Armed Forces in mobilizing Russian citizens who recently entered the country.
