Next decades will be the period of China's containment – diplomat Chaly

"Obviously, China has a role to play now, which it has declared with its positions. As for its internal development, in my opinion, I see nothing good going on for the world or for China itself. Maybe the Chinese think otherwise, because they vote unanimously in support of the Chinese president. In other words, China is making leaps and bounds toward a brighter future, but they have forgotten who created the conditions for this future," the diplomat said.

Valeriy Chaly noted that the West created the conditions for China's normal trade development by providing chips and opportunities to actually steal new technologies, and without this, China would not have made it.

"So, unfortunately, China has not realized that this global world is not a world where you can only take for yourself and give nothing back. I think that the next decades will be a period of containing China. China has not been able to come to the right decisions, to understand what gave it this huge economic boost. Now everything is spiraling down. You can also see where the Chinese billionaires who created the new image of China are now hiding. Therefore, I do not see anything good in China's development," Chaly summarized.
