Lukashenko sabotages Belarusian participation in the war, because the Ukrainian Armed Forces would destroy the Belarusian army - Mykhailo Samus
Director of the New Geopolitics Research Network Mykhailo Samus believes that Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko consciously sabotages his own country's participation in Russia's war against Ukraine, because he understands that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would destroy the Belarusian army
The expert shared the details in the Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko program on Espreso TV.
"There is a silent sabotage on the part of the president of Belarus. Lukashenko demonstrates that he is trying with all his might to prepare for the start of a military operation against Ukraine, but something is constantly preventing him. Lukashenko understands that if he joins the war against Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will destroy his troops very quickly. After all, the army of Belarus has never participated in armed conflicts - they have no experience", Samus said.
The military expert added that Lukashenko also does not want to join the war, because he hopes that he will be able to avoid responsibility.
"I am convinced that Lukashenko personally promised Putin that he would take part in the war against Ukraine. Perhaps more than once. Lukashenko's main motive for not taking part in the war on the side of Russia is the hope that in the event of the fall of Putin's regime, he will be able to avoid responsibility from the international court", Mykhailo Samus noted.
