Kuleba sets out red line for diplomatic relations with Belarus
Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba has said that Ukraine will immediately cut diplomatic ties with Minsk if the Belarusian army crosses the border into Ukraine.
Kuleba shared the statement in an interview with Ukrinform.
"I remember very well how on the night of February 24, the invasion of Ukraine began from the territory of Belarus. Before that, the Belarusians swore that Belarus does not pose any threat to us. We have no illusions about Belarus, but a sober analysis of what is happening , and how not to give Lukashenko additional reasons to make certain decisions. I have already said publicly, and my position has not changed: if the Belarusian armed forces enter the territory of Ukraine, I will immediately send a proposal to break diplomatic relations with them," Kuleba promised.
He added that Belarus is complicit in the criminal aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
"The fact that Russian bombers fly in the airspace of Belarus - sometimes they just train, sometimes they shoot - is our daily reality. I want to emphasize once again: Belarus is an accomplice in the crime of aggression against Ukraine, there is no doubt about it. Therefore, there are no excuses and there won't be," Kuleba assured.
